Six Sentence Sunday, Apr. 10

Here’s something from my unpublished MS, By Hook or By Crook. I’m currently in the process of querying agents about this one:

“It’s hard not to be jumpy around you when you keep getting under my clothes somehow,” Ivy said with asperity.
“Don’t worry. Nothing on the agenda tonight except a backrub,” Joe assured her. He said it mostly to allay her fears — he usually said that kind of thing to a woman just before he pounced — but he realized that he meant it. He needed to move slowly with a woman like Ivy, his instinct told him. He needed to test the waters, letting her get accustomed to what was between them. Tonight, he wanted to break down a few more barriers between them.

About Linda Morris

Linda Morris is a multipublished writer of contemporary and historical romance. She writes stories with heart and heat, and a joke or two thrown in. When she's not writing, working, or mommying, she's doing yoga, reading, working in her flower garden, or baking delicious things she probably shouldn't eat. A beat-up old copy of Kathleen Woodiwiss's "Ashes in the Wind" that her mom bought for her at a garage sale years ago was her "gateway drug" into the world of romance novels. Her all-time favorite romance writers include Laura Kinsale, Patricia Gaffney, Elizabeth Delancey, and Marjorie Ferrell. Current favorites include Julie Anne Long, Erin McCarthy, and Shannon McKenna.
